The entry threshold for the top 100 private enterprises in Chongqing is 2.361 billion yuan, with a total operating income of 1213.186 billion yuan, total assets of 1685.69 billion yuan, total tax payments of 56.448 billion yuan, and a total employment of 423200 people. The top 100 private enterprises are more focused on industry, with manufacturing enterprises accounting for 54% of the top 100, an increase of 5% from the previous year and breaking through 50% for the first time.

The top 100 list released this time is voluntarily applied for by enterprises organized by the Federation of Industry and Commerce and chambers of commerce in various districts and counties through the National Federation of Industry and Commerce Private Enterprise Scale Research System. After being reviewed by relevant municipal departments, the shortlisted units are sorted by total revenue. The research data covers the period from January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.
