What is the internationally recognized transformer standard

Author:

IEC is the International Electrotechnical Commission, founded in 1906 and headquartered in Geneva

1、 IEC standards

IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) is the International Electrotechnical Commission, founded in 1906 and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The standards developed by IEC are widely adopted by countries and regions around the world, and are one of the internationally recognized transformer standards.

The IEC standard specifies the rated voltage, rated capacity, connection method, installation method, insulation level, temperature level, and other aspects of transformers, ensuring the safety, reliability, and interchangeability of transformer products.

2、 IEEE standard

IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) is the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, founded in 1884 and headquartered in New York, USA.

IEEE standards provide regulations for the design, manufacturing, testing, and other aspects of transformers. For example, the IEEE C57.12.00-2010 standard specifies the classification, rated capacity, rated voltage, temperature rating, and standards for liquid insulated and dry-type insulated transformers for transformers.

3、 ANSI standard

ANSI (American National Standards Institute) is the American National Standards Organization, founded in 1918 and headquartered in New York, USA. The standards developed by ANSI are widely used in the United States and other countries and regions.

ANSI C57.12.01-2015 is the ANSI standard for transformers, which specifies the electrical and mechanical characteristics of transformers, including rated capacity, rated voltage, insulation class, temperature class, losses, and efficiency.

4、 Other standards

In addition to standards such as IEC, IEEE, ANSI, there are many other standards developed by countries and regions, such as VDE in Germany, NF in France, JIS in Japan, etc.

These standards not only ensure the quality and reliability of transformer products, but also promote international cooperation and communication, and drive the development of the power industry.
