Implementation standards for transformer production

Author:

Transformers are one of the essential electrical equipment in the power system, and their production standards

1、 Common standards at home and abroad

Transformers are one of the essential electrical equipment in the power system, and their production standards may vary depending on the requirements of different countries and regions. The common production standards for transformers both domestically and internationally currently include:

1. National standards of the People's Republic of China: GB 1094, GB 6450, GB/T10228, GB 4208, etc;

2. Standards issued by the International Electrotechnical Commission: IEC 60076, IEC 62271, etc;

3. Standards published by the American Transformer Association: ANSI/IEEE C57, etc;

4. Standards issued by the German Electrical Engineering Standardization Committee: DIN VDE 0532, etc;

5. Standards released by the Japan Institute of Electrical Engineers: JIS C 1302, etc.

The standards of different countries and regions may vary, but their basic requirements are consistent, all aimed at ensuring the product quality, safety, reliability, and long service life of transformers.

2、 Quality management in the production process

In the production process of transformers, a series of quality management measures are essential, including:

1. Reasonable design: Design according to the different requirements of users for transformers, confirm the rated capacity, rated voltage, quantity, series and other parameters of transformers;

2. Material control: Select appropriate metal and insulation materials, and use strict incoming inspection to control quality;

3. Production process: Adopting advanced equipment and technology to ensure the quality and performance of transformers;

4. Worker skills: Train production workers in skills and knowledge, improve their safety knowledge and operational skills.

3、 Experimental testing

After the production of the transformer is completed, it still needs to be tested and inspected, some of which include:

1. Appearance inspection: Confirm whether the external dimensions and surface coating of the transformer meet the requirements;

2. Electrical inspection: Confirm whether the electrical parameters of the transformer meet the requirements, such as winding resistance, insulation resistance, excitation current, no-load loss, short-circuit impedance, etc;

3. Functional test: Confirm whether the transformer works normally under normal use, such as temperature rise test under rated load, load tap changer test, etc;

4. Non destructive inspection: Through X-ray inspection, magnetic particle testing, penetrant testing and other methods, inspect the internal defects, cracks and other conditions of the transformer.
