Yunnan Transformer Electric Co., Ltd (YTEC) is situated in Kunming, capital of Yunnan Province in southern China. Established in 1936, it is one of the most innovative and long-standing plants in China, having produced over 100,000 transformers, including 4000 traction transformers with the latest technologies and innovations. YTEC has an annual energy production capacity of 40,000 MVA.
Its transformers can reach a voltage range of 500 kV, with a power range of 1000 MVA 3ph - 42 MVA 1ph. Around 30% of the production is dedicated to supporting customers Outside China, including Laos, Vietnam, Malaysia, Nepal and various locations in Africa. Additionally, it serves as an export base for transformer products in the Economic Development Zone in Yunnan and houses EHV technology and R&D centers while also serve as an operational base for multiple global positions in the transformer business.
